The Best Exercise Bike Deals Including New Year’s Day Sales

There are impressive deals in the January Sales on Peloton, Echelon, NordicTrack, JTX and Apex exercise bikes

Last year you were lucky if you could find a home exercise bike to buy, let alone find one in the January Sales. But while life might never return entirely to how it was before the COVID-19 pandemic, there is one thing that has largely gone back to normal now gyms have reopened: the stock of home cardio equipment.

More availability meant manufacturers have jumped back on that January Sales bandwagon, with options from all the major players like Peloton, NordicTrack, and ProForm.

NordicTrack S10i Studio Commercial Cycle – Save 24%, Now £1,299

A £400 discount is not to be sniffed at, and those looking for a home spinning bike with a built-in screen might not find a better deal in the January Sales. The NordicTrack S10i has a relatively small screen at 10in (25cm), but that’s still large enough to easily view guided workouts through the iFit app (30-day membership included). The bike has 22 levels of resistance and an impressive incline range that extends from -10% up to 20%, so you can throw some downhills into your rides as well.

Peloton Bike+ – Save 12%, Now £2,025

It's not the biggest discount you’ll see in the sales period, but Peloton has only just started making reductions on its Bike+ so it is one of our top recommendations. Most importantly, Peloton really does deliver an engaging experience which few can match. The Bike+ is Peloton’s second bike and it offers an increased screen size, allowing it to rotate so you can take better advantage of the strength and yoga workouts in the app. The bike also can adjust your resistance automatically in line with the class you’re taking.

Echelon Smart Connect EX3 – Save 24%, Now £899

Do you already own a tablet? Would you be happy to use that to stream classes instead of using a built-in screen, saving a bit of cash in the process? Then you should consider this Echelon bike, which offers a Peloton-like experience for less. Wiggle is offering the cheapest price for the bike, but Echelon is reducing it to £949 and throwing an Apple Watch 3 into the bargain.

NordicTrack S22i Studio Commercial Cycle – Save 10%, Now £1,699

No prizes for guessing what the main upgrade on the S22i is compared with the S10i. The 22in touchscreen on its console is considerably larger than on the cheaper bikes, and its mount allows it to rotate 360°, so it's easier to follow non-cycling workouts on iFit like yoga and Pilates. The S22i also has 24 levels of resistance, and the same impressive -10% to 20% incline range. Both NordicTrack and Amazon are offering it at a reduction of £200.

Apex Bike – Save 18%, Now £990

One of the pretenders to the home spinning crown, the Apex bike undercuts Peloton both on the bike, now £990 down from £1,200, and the subscription, which is £29.99 a month. The experience isn’t as slick and impressive as Peloton’s, but if you want home spinning classes for less, then this deal is well worth considering.
